Former Paper Mill and Mill Pond

Redstart were retained to undertake remediation and enabling work for a residential development comprising 41No. low rise residential dwellings and 1No. Multi-Storey apartment block

The Forge Road site comprised two areas totalling approximately 1.4Ha of former commercial/industrial land. Redstart undertook remediation and enabling works prior to a residential re-development. With the use of a DoWCoP compliant Materials Management Plan these works were planned to sort and process site won materials in order to create the required development platform and render the site suitable for the proposed development. The works included the controlled demolition of a 30m chimney and bridges over a culverted brook which ran through the site. The bridge and culvert works were carried out under a permit obtained from the Environment agency.Redstart completed the works despite difficult prevailing weather conditions minimising the volume of material requiring disposal.
