Redstart was retained by Countryside Homes to undertake phased remediation and enabling Works at a former Iron Works.
Redstart completed phased remediation and enabling works and prepared a completion report for a residential development comprising 248No. low rise residential dwellings with associated driveways and garden areas, estate roads and infrastructure on a 6.85Ha site off Cromwell Road, Ellesmere Port.
Overview
The site historically comprised a steel cladding works, engineering works and foundry. The buildings associated with these works have been demolished with the majority of demolition material removed from site. All footings and sub-surface structures remained on site. Redstart completed a programme of site enabling, remediation and engineering works. These works were planned to sort and process site won (and suitable imported materials) in order to create the required development platform and render the site suitable for the proposed development. The works were undertaken in accordance with the regulator approved Remediation and Enabling Works Strategy.
