Redstart Northwest completed substantial enabling works including bulk earthworks required to redevelop a former mill site.
The site comprised approximately 2Ha of former industrial land. A bulk earthworks operation was required to generate the construction platform prior to construction of 45 houses with associated infrastructure and landscaping.
Overview
Approximately 35,000m³ of soils were placed and engineered. Soils were validated for both chemical and geotechnical suitability during the works to the satisfaction of the supervising consultant. All plots, garden roads and drives were shaped to formation level.
Sustainable Re-development.
This project was an excellent example of a sustainable approach to construction with all materials required during remediation being won from site. The project was secured on the basis of a fixed price tender with all risk in the ground borne by Redstart. The project was delivered on time to the total satisfaction of the client.
