Remediation Site Manager

£45,000 - £55,000 Negotiable depending on experience

The ideal candidate will be experienced in the supervision of contaminated land remediation and enabling works projects and would ideally (although not necessarily) have previous experience in plant operation. Some civils groundworks experience (roads & sewers) would be advantageous. You should have experience organising plant and labour, management of site safety, earthworks, materials management, soil engineering and basic reporting. Any experience of specialised remediation works would be considered advantageous. A basic knowledge of environmental chemical testing, geotechnical testing and invasive species would be useful.

Key Skills Required
• Full UK Driving licence
• First Aid
• CSCS supervisor
• IT literate (Basic use of excel spread sheets, e-mail)

Preferred but not essential
• Plant Operator Tickets
• HNC/HND or similar qualification in civil engineering construction management or other appropriate discipline.
• Conversant with Total Station and GPS Topographical Surveying

While most of our work is in the Northwest we do occasionally receive national enquiries and there may be an occasional requirement to work away from home for short periods.

A salary range of £45,000-£55,000 is anticipated for the right candidate. CAD Technician & Field Engineer

Salary Negotiable Depending on Experience

About the Role Redstart has an interesting opportunity for a CAD engineer who also wants to get out of the office and assist with land remediation schemes in the role of field technician. We envisage the role will comprise 50:50 split between office and site work. We would like to receive expressions of interest and CVs from candidates who can fulfil the following role:-

Primary Duty - AutoCAD office work
• Producing high-quality AutoCAD site drawings detailing remediation works undertaken;
• Assisting with the tendering process for prospective sites, calculating cut-fill quantities, and generating cross sections to be presented to clients;
• Modelling live sites in 3D from real-time survey data to calculate material volumes;
• Creating a 3D Digital Terrain Model in LSS to be uploaded to site GPS equipment;
• Creating and updating working drawings for use at all stages of the project, from tender, through the enabling/remediation works to final as-built surveys; and
• Maintaining organised and accurate records.

Primary Duty - Surveying Site work
• Assist Site managers with surveying duties, quantifying stockpiles, levelling and ‘as built drawings’

• Soil sampling & Monitoring
• Field Testing

Secondary Duty - Business Development
• Site drone surveys and video editing
• Website design and updating of company social media profile

360 Excavator Operator

£30,000 - £39,000 per annum + Van + Fuel, Depending on experience

Redstart is seeking a 360 excavator operator skilled in remediation and enabling works.
• Experienced in contaminated land remediation
• Experienced in bulk earthworks
• Knowledge of GPS control systems
• Wider knowledge of demolition and/or groundworks would be useful
• Tickets for excavators (& other plant)

Working in a small team under the direction of the site manager / foreman to safely execute remediation & enabling works in a timely fashion. Working mainly in the northwest with occasional site works further afield.

£30,000 - £39,000 per annum +Van+Fuel Depending on experience
